Link ECU WRX6X (228-4000) is a G4X plug-in ECU for Subaru WRX & STI V5–6 applications with an EJ20 engine: Version 5 GC8F and Version 6 GC8G.

Check fitment before ordering

  • Manual transmission only.
  • For the four-grey-plug layout. Match your vehicle’s ECU connectors to the header photos on Link’s WRX6X product page before ordering. Confirm the version, chassis and engine as well as the connectors.
  • An Expansion Loom is required before electronic throttle can be used.
  • Link strongly recommends an air temperature sensor.

CAN cable selection

PCB version 1.4 onward uses a four-pin powered CAN connector and requires the CANJST4 cable (101-0198) for CAN devices; the older CANPCB cable cannot be used with that connector. Confirm the PCB revision before selecting a CAN cable.
