Watanabe 18-Inch Wheel Specs Coming to the Liberty Walk 350Z
The Liberty Walk Nissan 350Z is moving into its next major stage today. With the widebody fitment and preliminary wheel-clearance work established, the car is being prepared for delivery to On Fire Customs for paint and final body finishing.
Watanabe is developing select 18-inch specifications
The finished 350Z will feature one of the select 18-inch wheel specifications Watanabe is preparing. This is an important development for builders who want the classic Watanabe design language in a diameter that works with modern brake packages, tire availability and widebody proportions.
The final width, offset, backspacing and finish will be published only after the production specification is confirmed and the car returns to final ride height. Race Club will not release provisional dimensions as an ordering recommendation. Widebody fitment depends on the complete package: suspension geometry, brake clearance, tire section width, alignment range and the actual position of the finished bodywork.
Why the 18-inch package fits this build
On a Liberty Walk 350Z, wheel diameter is only one part of the visual and mechanical balance. The wheel must clear the brake package while leaving enough tire sidewall for real street and track use. It also has to place the tire correctly inside the overfender without creating avoidable scrub radius, steering interference or suspension contact.
The goal is not simply to fill the flare. The goal is a usable Watanabe fitment with the correct barrel clearance, lip depth and tire position once the car is assembled at its final weight.
Paint preparation starts today
On Fire Customs will handle the next body and paint phase. The transition is significant because the car is moving from fabrication and rough fitment into final surface preparation, panel finishing and color. Once that work is complete, the Liberty Walk components can return for final hardware, sealing and assembly.
The complete 350Z+ collaboration
This build connects the Liberty Walk widebody package with Watanabe’s upcoming 18-inch specification, Musa Artwork’s rendering direction, On Fire Customs paint and body work, Zociety support and Race Club fabrication and final assembly.
Race Club will publish the confirmed Watanabe wheel dimensions, finish, tire package and ordering information once every measurement has been verified on the painted car. That final specification will be based on a complete working fitment, not a visual estimate.
