Ready Set Drift ends its 2026 season at Pocono Raceway, Pennsylvania, on October 17–18. Saturday uses the South Course during the Pocono Fall Motorsports Festival; Sunday moves to the Drift Lot. Choose the right day and entrance before heading out. Organizer’s event details.

Two days with different formats

Saturday uses A, B and C driver groups. Sunday offers two Drift Lot layouts, with drivers welcome to use both and no run groups. Entry is through Gate 1 on Saturday and Gate 5 on Sunday. Both days list gates at 8 a.m., tech from 8:15 a.m., the mandatory driver meeting at 9:30 a.m. and driving from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. These are local event times. Check the current schedule before leaving.

The Saturday program also puts Stacked On Track on the East Course for timed Track Sprint competition. That is a separate driving activity: its entrants chase times individually, while the South Course hosts drifting. For a mixed group of friends, the appeal is being able to watch both disciplines at one venue. A drift registration should not be treated as permission to join the timed competition. A first visit starts with the right format

RSD’s first-time driver guide recommends a clinic or Drift Lot event for newcomers before moving to full track layouts. It describes the lot as a place to develop car control, throttle use and transitions. That makes Sunday worth considering if this is your first visit, although staff instructions and the actual operating layout remain the authority on the day.

Choose a modest learning goal before arriving: understanding the course, completing an instructor’s exercise or making one familiar section more consistent. Ask staff how to obtain instruction and where beginners should stage. An open-track format does not make every maneuver, passenger arrangement or tandem pairing acceptable.

Check the car before loading it

The 2026 RSD rulebook requires an SA2020-or-newer helmet, long pants and closed-toe shoes. Tech takes place before the driver meeting. The car needs working brakes and brake lights, secure battery hardware, all lug nuts, clearly identifiable front and rear tow points, and no fluid leaks. A minimum two-pound fire extinguisher must be properly mounted and reachable with the driver fastened into the seat; plastic mounts are prohibited.

Read the full requirements for the car’s actual configuration. Convertibles need acceptable rollover protection, and RSD applies a helmeted-driver clearance check. Seats and restraints have their own compatibility and mounting requirements. For road-course tandem driving, A-group entry includes approved door-bar cage protection and driver evaluation. The beginner C group prohibits tandem driving and permits only an instructor as a passenger.

These are event admission requirements, not a complete build specification. Resolve an uncertain installation with the organizer and equipment manufacturer before paying for an entry or heading to tech.

Pack for repeatable running

RSD’s preparation guide recommends a pressure gauge, basic tools, a jack and stands, extra tires and appropriate spare fluids. It also calls for cooling down and inspecting the car between sessions, and taking used tires home. Pack the helmet and registration confirmation where they can be reached without unloading the whole trailer. First-time preparation checklist.

Bring a way to record the tire set, pressures and any adjustment made between runs. If the car develops a leak, loose component or unfamiliar behavior, end the session and investigate before returning to grid. The useful weekend is one that produces a clearer understanding of the car as well as more seat time.

Spectator admission is listed at $20 per day or $35 for both; children 12 and under enter free. Camping requires preregistration. Sales are final, with a future-event credit if the event is cancelled outright. Review the current organizer page for ticket choices and updates.
